The famous Montevertine estate, located on the Chianti hills in the municipality of Radda in Chianti, was purchased in 1967 by Sergio Manetti. Sergio initially bought the estate to renovate it and make it his holiday home, planting a few hectares of vineyard to produce wine for himself and loved ones. The first wine was produced and marketed in 1971 and received flattering appreciation. Enthusiastic by the good success obtained, Sergio Manetti decided to devote himself exclusively to the production of quality wines, planting new vineyards and setting up new cellars. The color is a dark ruby red. The bouquet hints of red fruits, violets and fresh spices. In the mouth it develops rhythmic and balanced sweet acid contrast, which amplifies length and pleasure.
